John Knell Artist
John Knell is a visual ruckus maker.
An internationally exhibited contemporary artist, John creates explosive, high-energy work that fuses sports, pop culture, and community into one unforgettable visual language.
From the streets of Kansas City to global showcases in London, Paris, New York, Madrid, and Las Vegas, John’s art is built to connect — with fans, with moments, and with meaning. Whether it’s a cleat-scarred football portrait, a spray-splattered cityscape, or a digital collage pulsing with movement, his work is always rooted in human connection and creative disruption.
John’s creative toolkit is as dynamic as his subject matter — illustrator, abstract painter, digital artist, graphic designer, photographer and entrepreneur. His mission? To turn the moments that move us into art that moves through us.
John’s work draws inspiration from pop art pioneer Robert Rauschenberg and legendary sports artist LeRoy Neiman.
From Rauschenberg, he channels the fearless use of layered media, texture, and abstraction. From Neiman, he inherits a love for capturing athletic movement and emotion with color and chaos. The result is a distinct visual voice — part street art, part fine art, part sideline snapshot — that pays homage to his heroes while pushing the form into new territory.
In 2024, his NFL-inspired solo exhibition at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas brought together collectors, fans, and legends of the game in a one-of-a-kind showcase celebrating the grit, beauty, and mythology of football. Now, for the 2025 NFL season, John is relaunching the show here online — making this powerful collection available to a global audience of fans and collectors for the very first time.
“I believe the end zone is sacred ground,” John says. “It’s where emotion, legacy, and energy peak — and that’s exactly what I try to capture in every piece I create. Thank you for being here and supporting my work”
